Asian Outreach Cambodia is an organization that aims to restore hope and dignity to Cambodians by breaking the poverty cycle in rural communities through a wide variety of projects in education, sanitation, water and agriculture. With the new branding, it was important to ensure that it represented the vibrancy of, and found connection and acceptance with, the local community in Cambodia. Our aim was to present the companies vision of providing the tools and training to empower the rural communities in which they work.
It was essential to create a logo that showed the partnership between the global team, from which the work is funded and supported, and the Cambodian community both staff and beneficiaries. To do this we designed a dual language logo with English and Khmer scripts, that lock together or be used independently. Incorporating natural bold colours into the design of the logo creates a true sense of the Cambodian heritage and positive work that the organisation is doing. The final look is vibrant, approachable, fun and down to earth in nature and ensures flexibility limiting the perception of being a water or agricultural aid organisation.
